Hmm…The about Level Up page. We’ve been in the Wyomissing area for over two years now, and slowly we continue to grow into so much more than what we started out as. What does that mean? Means we continue to support the retro community and prove that not even the newest video games can capture the feeling some of us felt when we played a Mario game for the first time. It also means that we are willing to try to convey a feeling of what video games as a culture have become. No longer are games “just for kids”. It’s an ever increasing medium that everyone young and old can enjoy. We are here just as a reminder as to where the video game industry started and what it means to truly be a “gamer”. Thanks goes out to everyone who has supported us in the past and to those new faces that will support our future. What’s old is new again!

    I have been playing video games for 18 years. I play all kinds of video games, old and new- but nothing compares to the classics. There are VERY few stores around the area that I know of that are still in business and sell retro-wares. Over the years, games have changed. Society’s attitudes about games have changed, and now more than ever people are getting into video games.

    Level Up Games is a different game store than what you would expect. Although small in size, it brings classic gaming back to our area of Reading/Wyomissing. I can go to level up and find some of the old classics that I know and love. With Paul’s expertise in keeping these games and systems working, what is old “truly” is new again.

    Keep up the great work! Our gaming club (at Penn State Berks, down the road) needs a retro store to associate with and get our classic games from. Level Up games helps us promote the old classics, and the idea that anyone can sit down and play a good old game.

    We plan on supporting you for the future, and I personally plan on updating my retro collection primarily through Level Up games.

    I am a huge fan of the classics and I was overjoyed when heard about this store because the only other one I knew of got shut down. My only problem is that I have no idea where this place is located. So if someone can help me out, then you can add another customer to this store. Thanks.
